Global knowledge of environmental issues has resulted in the development of sustainable and environment-friendly green composite materials, which are recyclable and renewable resources based. The green composite materials can be metallic, polymer and cement based. Green metal-matrix composites have achieved widespread interest in academic and industries for numerous applications in the last few years due to their advantageous of physical and mechanical properties. This chapter provides information on chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties of different green reinforcement in metal matrix composites. The applications of different green metal matrix composites such as Aluminium and Magnesium composites and also the major techniques for fabricating these materials and research areas for further improvement are highlighted in this chapter.
