چکیده
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between organizational silence and job burnout in Bonab sports school. This research is a descriptive-correlational one. The statistical population of this study was all sports teachers of Bonab city (N = 186). The statistical sample was selected as the total number of 166 people according to the limited statistical population. Data collection tool was Morrison & Millikan Organizational Silence Questionnaire (2000) and Maslach & Jackson (1969) Burnout Questionnaire. Validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by 5 experts in the field of sports management. The reliability of the questionnaires was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient for Morrison & Millikan organizational silence questionnaire (2000) (α = 0.89) in and α = 0.90 for the Maslach and Jackson job burnout questionnaire (1969). To analyze the data, SPSS software package 16 was used for descriptive and inferential statistics. In the inferential statistics, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to examine the abnormality of the data. After identifying the abnormality of the research data, the Spearman correlation coefficient analysis method was used to examine the hypotheses. The results showed that there is no significant relationship between organizational silence (supervisors' attitudes towards silence, communication opportunities) and burnout in Bonab sports school (Sig< 0/05). However, there is a significant relationship between organizational silence (senior managers' attitudes towards silence) and burnout in sports teachers in Bonab (Sig< 0/05). Also, there was no significant relationship between organizational silence and burnout (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization) in Bonab sports school teachers (Sig< 0/05). However, there is a significant relationship between organizational silence and job burnout (individual performance) in Bonab sports teachers (Sig< 0/05).
