Charles Dickens is one of the most distinguished British novelists who has been appreciated for creating unforgettable characters in English literature. This study uses his novel: Oliver Twist which was published in 1838. This novel deals with miserable social conditions, child labor, class conflict, murder, thievery, and so on that cause horrific and dreadful situations for a group of people who are in the lower class of society and are oppressed by the brutality of the high-class community. The significance of this study lies in the fact that it evaluates the influence of capitalism on individuals and nations by using different Gothic Socioeconomic concepts. Centralizing working class people, this study tries to demonstrate the various concepts such as monsters of capital, criminogenic society in 19th century, and alienation which are introduced by Marx and Engels who are the most prominent figures in Marxism and studied more by William Chambliss, David M. Gordon, and Erich Fromm on their theories. This study wants to add to what has existed about Dickens's novel and also look from a new perspective to Gothic socioeconomic subject in this work which has not been studied before.
