The proposal examines how George Orwell's Animal Farm can be adapted as children's literature while maintaining its core social and moral messages. It explores how imaginative elements, such as anthropomorphic animals and allegorical storytelling, simplify complex societal themes like power dynamics, justice, and corruption, making them accessible to young readers. By integrating theories from child psychology, literary criticism, and educational studies, the research demonstrates how Animal Farm can engage children in critical thinking and moral reflection, fostering an understanding of leadership, fairness, and social responsibility.
This interdisciplinary study aims to bridge the gap between adult political allegory and children's literature, highlighting the potential of classic texts to serve as educational tools for moral development. Through textual analysis and comparative study of adaptations, the proposal investigates how Orwell's work can be recontextualized for younger audiences without compromising its original message. The research ultimately advocates for innovative teaching methods that use literature to cultivate ethical awareness and civic understanding in children.
