The study examines how these concepts shape the narrative's deeper meanings, revealing Golding's critique of human nature and societal structures. History is analyzed as a symbolic representation of humanity's recurring cycles of violence and civilization's fragility. Geography, specifically the island setting, is interpreted as a microcosm of the world, isolating the boys to explore primal instincts and social breakdown. Psychology plays a crucial role in uncovering the internal conflicts and the inherent darkness within human nature, illustrated through the characters' descent into savagery.
